The Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses recently convened for a periodic meeting at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental hotel. The session was attended by Sultan Al Hemeiri and Matar Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, alongside fellow committee members Musalam Al Amri and Faisal Al Rahmani, who serves as the Secretary-General of the Committee.
During the meeting, the committee evaluated the performance of the current 33rd edition of the series. Officials noted that the races, held at some of the world’s most historic venues, have garnered significant attention globally. The discussion highlighted the exceptional achievements delivered thus far, including strong participation from elite breeders and owners, substantial public interest, and extensive media and marketing campaigns conducted across four continents. These elements have solidified the series’ reputation and prominence within the international horse racing circuit.
Looking ahead, the committee focused on logistical and operational preparations for the remaining stages of the competition, ensuring each event meets the highest standards. The board also reviewed strategic plans to enhance cooperation with international partners and racecourses. These initiatives aim to expand the series’ digital footprint and grow its following among equestrian enthusiasts worldwide through sustained promotional efforts.
The UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses was established in 1994, rooted in the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to elevate the status of Arabian horses on the global stage. Over the past 33 years, with the ongoing support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the series has grown into the world’s most valuable and prestigious event of its kind. Beyond the competition itself, the Cup serves as a vital tool for preserving authentic cultural heritage and reinforces the UAE’s leadership in the global equestrian landscape.
